Role Overview

We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused professional with a strong foundation in Real-World Evidence (RWE) and experience in Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) and Evidence Synthesis (ES).

Axtria’s RWE/HEOR/Evidence Synthesis (ES) practice is growing rapidly, fueled by a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation (AI-Powered RWE, HEOR & Evidence Synthesis Solutions).

Culturally, we are seeking an individual who embodies these core values and leads by example across all three pillars.

Technically, this role supports the execution of real-world evidence (RWE) studies with scientific rigor and strategic insight. Reporting to an Associate Director or Director, the individual will contribute to the design, implementation, and communication of RWE, health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), and evidence synthesis strategies that inform client objectives—including market access and clinical decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the design and execution of RWE studies, including retrospective database analyses and observational research.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align RWE/HEOR strategies with therapeutic area priorities and business objectives.

  • Draft and review technical reports, manuscripts, and presentations for internal and external audiences.

  • Generate external communications in the form of abstracts, posters, podium presentations, and manuscripts.

  • Mentor and guide junior staff to support their career advancement and ensure they meet client requirements.

  • Support strategic planning and stakeholder engagement across global teams.

  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and quality standards in coordination with cross-functional teams.

  • Stay current with industry trends, regulatory guidance, and methodological advancements in RWE and HEOR.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3–7 years of experience in RWE and HEOR within a healthcare consulting firm or life sciences company.

  • Proven ability to design and execute database studies using claims, EMR, or registry data.

  • Strong understanding of healthcare data sources and analytical methodologies.

  • Proficiency in statistical programming languages (e.g., R, Python, SQL) and tools (Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Familiarity with causal inference analysis, AI/ML applications in healthcare analytics (preferred).

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex findings into actionable insights.

  • Demonstrated project management and stakeholder/KOL engagement capabilities.

Educational Background

  • Master’s degree in epidemiology, health economics, biostatistics, or outcomes research.

  • Doctoral degree (PhD, PharmD, ScD) in relevant field is a plus.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Strategic thinker with a proactive mindset and ability to work independently.

  • Strong collaborator who thrives in a matrixed environment and can influence across teams.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
