The Role:
As a Project Lead/Manager within Axtria’s Data Science COE you will have the responsibility to apply AI/GenAI and data science to solve business problems for functional areas within a global commercial pharma client. Projects maybe related, but not limited to, sales and marketing, patient journey, medical affairs, and clinical areas of client work.
Key initiatives of the role:
- Building and prototyping ML models for commercial use cases.
- You must be comfortable acting independently and be an influential partner to the client.
- You will lead and mentor the work of other associates engaged on the client.
- A keen sense of high-quality, timely delivery and relevant innovative analytic solutions is paramount.
- Collaboration with client stakeholders translating business needs into analytical approaches with strong and measurable insights to solve business challenges is key
- Strong GenAI/Agentic AI experience is very important as well as a foundation in ML modeling.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of professional industry experience
- Strong proficiency in statistical analysis and modelling techniques, such as linear regression, logistic regression, decision trees, random forests, clustering, deep learning algorithms, boosting, text mining and NLP.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and in Python packages such as NumPy, Pandas, Sklearn, Seaborn, PyCaret, Matplotlib.
- Solid understanding and experience with database systems and SQL for data retrieval and manipulation.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into actionable models.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

The salary range for this position is $83,200 to $129,738 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Thousand Oaks, CA. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.
