Position Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned AWS Cloud Data Architect with strong expertise in building data warehouses on AWS or migrating on-premise data warehouse environments to AWS Cloud. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud architecture, data modeling, and enterprise data strategies, and will play a key role in enabling our clients’ cloud transformation journeys.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-level data architecture documentation, including data policies, models (Conceptual, Logical, Physical), data dictionaries, and data flow diagrams.
  • Design and implement scalable data warehouse solutions on AWS or lead the migration of existing on-premise data warehouses to AWS.
  • Collaborate with business and product owners to gather requirements and define data management needs.
  • Drive AWS cloud transformation by analyzing total cost of ownership (TCO), building business cases, and providing cloud enablement strategies.
  • Assess clients’ AWS cloud maturity, evaluate existing cloud environments, and recommend architecture improvements and best practices.
  • Design and implement cloud-native and hybrid cloud architectures, including microservices using Kubernetes and other PaaS platforms.
  • Lead technical engagements and guide organizations through the complexities of cloud and DevOps transformations.
  • Provide technical leadership in AWS architecture, including performance, scalability, governance, cost optimization, security, and operations.
  • Serve as a thought leader by producing white papers and reference architectures focused on AWS and hybrid cloud solutions.
Required Experience:
  • Proven experience in building or migrating enterprise data warehouses to AWS.
  • Deep understanding of AWS cloud services and cloud-native architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, data architecture principles, and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Redshift, S3, Glue, Lambda, EC2, RDS, etc.
  • Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Terraform, Kubernetes).
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
