The Role.
The role of Director-Axtria Japan will be accountable for setting up Axtria operations in Japan. He/she will drive initial organization setup, government compliance, banking relationship, hiring and setting up of teams in Japan.
This is a complex and multifaceted role -- the Candidate must ensure Axtria is able to successfully setup its operations in Japan. You will act as the lead representative of Axtria in Japan in front of our clients, prospective employees and local governing authority. You will be working with our leadership globally in establishing strategy for our growth in Japan. In this role you will be directly working with client, understanding their needs and establish strategies for providing them solutions.

Qualifications

  • 10–15 years of consulting experience. Experience at a top-tier consulting firm (MBB, Big Four Strategy arms, or equivalent).
  • Industry focus: Deep expertise in one or more verticals such as life sciences, financial services, technology, or manufacturing.
  • Functional expertise: Proven track record in strategy, digital transformation, operations, or organizational change.
  • Revenue generation: Demonstrated ability to originate and close large deals.
  • Account growth: Experience in expanding existing accounts and leading cross-functional teams.
  • People leadership: Experience managing large teams, mentoring junior consultants, and driving performance.
  • Firm-building: Contributions to internal initiatives such as recruiting, training, thought leadership, or practice development.
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Executive presence: Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively to senior stakeholders.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: Ability to thrive in dynamic, high-growth environments.
  • Potential to grow into Partner or Executive leadership roles.
  • Global perspective: Experience working across geographies and cultures.
