Position Description:
We are currently hiring for Project Lead level professionals for our Decision Science practice who have expertise in Patient/Epidemiology based forecasting within Biopharma/Oncology

Success in this position requires:
Candidates will be expected to have expertise in managing & developing Patient/Epidemiology based forecasting models for pharma clients within Biopharma/Oncology

Responsibilities:

  • Bring subject-matter expertise in Forecasting and Commercial Analytics, to solve a range of business problems in the biopharma domain.
  • Manage and develop long range,  and short-range, pipeline, and BD&L forecasts
  • Independently create prevalence or incidence-based patient models using information from public domain datasets, literature research, primary market research, and secondary datasets
  • Thorough understanding of demand-based forecasting models (prescription or units)
  • Lead client discussions aimed at identifying business issues/needs, articulating precise problem statements, devising solution approach/methodology, and leading project delivery and analytical troubleshooting.
  • Business problems will span at customer (provider, account) level and patient level using large datasets and descriptive analysis
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects ensuring exceptional client satisfaction and on-time delivery.
  • Lead/shape deliverables, presentations and insights/recommendations to clients.
  • Develop and maintain skills to the highest standards consistent with best practices and emerging trends in data science.
  • Contribute to Axtria’s development of new solutions

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree / PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Economics, Statistics or a related field with 6+ years of prior relevant work experience.
  • Relevant expertise in managing & developing Patient/Epidemiology based forecasting models for pharma clients
  • Expertise in secondary research analysis and managing the forecasting models and operations 
  • Strong in excel, VBA & any having programming experience in any language to process and synthesize large datasets
  • Ability to structure and model the data to solve  complex business problems
  • Experience in Pharma domain and familiarity with Commercial and/or Medical use cases for advanced analytics/data science.
  • Familiarity with the key industry datasets such as sales data (IQVIA XPONENT, NPA, NSP, 867, and others) and most of all claims data
  • Knowledge and expertise in claims data (anonymized patient-level claims data) and EHR data is of specific interest for this role.
  • Knowledge and prior work experience in one or more therapeutic areas esp. immunology, infectious disease, oncology/hematology, other specialty medicine or rare disease.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate to a non-technical audience in clear and concise language.
  • Proven ability to frame a business issue, design the right solution, and deliver results.
  • Ability to lead projects and project teams.
  • Exposure to / experience working with large data sets (such as claims data).
