Description:

We are looking for a Project Lead/Manager for our AI & Data practice. Success in this position requires managing data solution projects (both consulting and delivery) based on Real World Data, Commercial Ops, Marketing, and Market Access data sets for reporting and analytical use cases.

Candidates will be expected to have extensive experience and deep understanding in the Life Sciences and Biopharma domain, across data sets and its usages such as:

  • Syndicated commercial pharma datasets across Claims, Retail Sales, Non-retail Sales, Trade data, Specialty Pharmacy (SP/SD), Hub, Formulary, Co-pay, Prescriber-Plan data, EMR/EHR, Diagnostic data, Shipment, Inventory, Non-personal Promotion data, Speaker Programs, Email Campaigns, Digital Data (HCP Portal, Patient Portal, Brand websites, Third-party website), Conferences etc.
  • Internal commercial pharma datasets across CRM (Activity, Call Plan etc.), Sales Ops (Roaster, Alignment, Incentive Compensation etc.), Forecast etc.
  • Strong functional and domain understanding of internal and external commercial pharma datasets, how to integrate these data sets across internal and external sources and apply associated business and transformation rules and make them ready for downstream business insights and analytics applications.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Leading global teams to deliver programs for Commercial Data Management and Analytics solutions for Life Sciences clients.
  • Work with multiple small and medium biopharmaceuticals to deliver end-to-end data and analytics programs.
  • Directly work with senior Client and Axtria stakeholders in a highly consultative and responsive manner, to deliver high-quality and high-impact data management solutions to business problems around analytical use cases.
  • Support in developing data science competencies and resources for the customer by enabling access to big data sets (sourced within and outside the organization) using a combination of open source, cloud and other tools and techniques for data analytics, machine learning, mining, and visualization.
  • Engage with client stakeholders to understand their business problems, their data/technical landscape & recommend data driven solutions. Then work with clients to gather requirements, contribute to solution design, lead implementation, alignment of solution to client needs and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage projects ensuring exceptional quality, timely delivery, and client satisfaction.
  • Strong project and program management experience.
  • Develop detailed project plans, tailored to project’s goals, objective, and scope.
  • Identify challenges, risks surrounding project scope, deliverables and effectively create a plan to effectively mitigate and communicate to all stakeholders.
  • Responsible for coordinating, conduct & manage requirements workshops, SIT, business UAT, feedback sessions, deliverable readouts with client’s business and IT teams.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements & efficiencies, lead their implementation & show it’s benefits to involved stakeholders.
  • Be ready, willing & capable to do hands-on work, as needed, and to guide teams toward strong approaches to data pipelines, reporting and so on.
  • Deliver projects within global delivery model leveraging virtual teams in different time zones
  • Develop and maintain skills to the highest standards consistent with best practices and emerging trends in data engineering and analytical use cases.
  • Responsibility to ensure that the overall data & analytics solution meets client needs, is robust and best-in-class.
  • Contribute to Axtria’s development of new solutions and analytical models.
  • Recruit, manage and mentor a team of data engineers/managers/consultants/analysts.

Required skills and experience:

  • A degree in Engineering, Computer Science with 5-8 years of prior relevant work experience in leading data engineering teams. A graduate degree is a must.
  • Knowledge of the Lifesciences domain. Prior experience in data engineering, data warehousing, data lakes, data hub related projects based on pharma data sets is a must.
  • Exposure in building GenAI/Agentic AI solutions, including RAG pipelines, prompt engineering, and agentic workflows using frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph; pharma use cases is a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of commercial pharma data sets.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Appreciation of key technical concepts across- AWS stack (S3, Glacier, Athena etc.), DataBricks, dBT, Snowflake, Informatica, Matillion, BI technologies (PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik, MicroStrategy), SQL, Spark, Python, MDM (Reltio Informatica) and Data Governance (Collibra, Informatica) etc.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills, including superior visualization, storyboarding, and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with Analytical Workbenches such as R, Alteryx, Dataiku, KNIME, AWS Sage maker etc. will be a big plus.
  • Ability to communicate actionable analytical findings to a technical or non-technical audience in clear and concise language.
  • Ability to lead project teams and own project delivery.

 

Pay Transparency Laws 
Salary range or hourly pay range for the position 
 
The salary range for this position is $83,200 to $114,225 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. 
 
The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.
