Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Strategy professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmaceuticals or medical devices and experience in management consulting is strongly preferred. This role requires expertise in data strategy, architecture, and management, with a focus on leveraging advanced technologies to drive business success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning and Execution:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy aligned with business goals.
    • Identify and leverage opportunities to utilize data for business innovation and growth.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate data strategy into the overall business strategy.
  • Data Architecture and Management:
    • Design, implement, and optimize data architectures to meet business needs.
    • Experience with one or more e.g. AWS or Microsoft Azure, Snowflake, and Databricks.
    • Experience with Managing end to end data lifecycle, including data acquisition, processing, and consumption.
  • Advanced Analytics and Insights:
    • Promote the use of advanced analytics, machine learning, and data science to derive actionable insights.
    • Lead the development of advanced analytics, machine learning, and data science to derive actionable insights.
    • Partner with business units to understand their data needs and provide relevant analytical support.
  • Data Governance and Compliance:
    • Establish and maintain data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and industry standards.
    • Maintain data quality and integrity across all data initiatives.
  • Leadership and Team Development:
    • Encourage knowledge sharing and professional development within the team.
    • Represent the data strategy team in executive meetings, presenting findings and strategic recommendations.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Communicate the data strategy and its benefits to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
    • Present complex data concepts in a clear and understandable manner to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Ensure effective communication of data-related issues, challenges, and initiatives across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s/Advanced degree in Information Management, Engineering, Business Analytics, Data Science, and Operations Management.
  • Experience:
    • Prior experience in pharmaceuticals or medical devices is mandatory.
    • Prior experience working in management consulting (Big 4 or management consulting companies) is strongly preferred.
    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in data management, data strategy, or a related field.
    • Extensive experience with AWS or Microsoft Azure, and either Snowflake or Databricks is mandatory.
    • Experience and knowledge of Data Integration, Master Data Management, Data Quality, and Data Governance technologies are preferable.
    • Experience and knowledge of Data Lakes and Data Warehouses are strongly preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong presentation development and communication skills.
    • Strong program management and team management skills.
    • Ability to work with global teams.
    • Proficiency with data management and analytics tools and platforms.
    • Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Attributes:
    • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
